A Snowy Family Session

There are few things more beautiful than a snowy New England morning…

Overnight, Mother Nature blessed us with a fresh white snow that provided a beautiful backdrop for my session with the Edgren’s. Extended family sessions are so special, and absolutely one of my favorite types of sessions to capture! Aunts and Uncles catching up; cousins laughing; and the grandparents watching over all of it with a smile on their face – I love capturing all the different family dynamics!

Here are some of my favorites from their session:

Weston Town Hall Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Salgado I feel so blessed to have been able to witness the wedding of these two beautiful souls. Them, the outpouring of love from both of their families, this intimate ceremony at the Weston Town Hall just had all the feels.

I met up with Katie and Jose to capture their ceremony and some portraits of the newlyweds. They are just so adorable together, laughing and joking around the whole time, even through the very chilly December evening portraits!

I am so unbelievably happy for the two of you, and can’t wait to see all that the future has in store for you! Cheers!

Baby A is 6 months

As a busy mom, wife, teacher, photographer, dog mom, girl scout troop leader (anything else?!) I always find myself so behind on taking pictures of my own children. My goal this year is to be better at staying on top of it this year (as I write this, I’m reminded that I STILL have yet to take my oldest daughter’s yearly portrait now that she just turned 8 so I’m already behind)!

The weekend Addison turned 6 months, I found myself with a quick half hour of time to snap some pictures of her in all her cuteness 🙂 Enjoy!

Baby A is 3 Months

For Addison’s 3 month portraits, I wanted to honor my late grandmother, our “Grandy”. In July of 2016, my grandmother went to the doctor for a raspy, sore throat she was not able to shake. Within days of that appointment, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. By the time they found it, it had spread to her lymph nodes and bones. Ready to put up a fight, Grandy started her first round of chemotherapy treatment. On the morning of my first day of the new school year, I received a phone call from my mom at 3:58am. I learned our dear Grandy had suddenly passed away. My family was left devastated, to say the least. Grandy had just retired a short time before, and was excitedly looking forward to caring for Addison one day a week after I went back to work. Before learning about her illness, Grandy had started knitting several gifts for Addison, one of them being what has to be the softest blankets I have ever held (the pink and purple blanket featured in these photos). While we are devastated that she never had the chance to meet her third great-granddaughter, we are so happy to have these special gifts she made just for her that we can treasure forever.

2017 Senior Ellie

Last summer I was excited to FINALLY photograph this wonderful class of 2017 Blackstone Valley Tech senior, Ellie. I met Ellie back when she was a Freshman in high school, when she grabbed one of my senior portrait flyers for her mom insisting “I’m going to have you do my senior portraits!” Fast forward three years (and how quickly THEY went) and sure enough here we were, planning out her senior portrait session!

Ellie is quite a unique individual, and wanted to make sure we captured that in her portraits. I love when my seniors bring unique props to showcase their favorite activities and hobbies! An Edgar Allen Poe fanatic, we got photos of Ellie her with her collection of favorite books, her sketchbook, and of course her camera.

Ellie will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) pursuing a degree in Production.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this Blackstone Valley Tech senior, Meaghan! I have to say this is one of my favorite families to work with – we always have so much fun with their shoots! This time we explored the BEAUTIFUL Moore State Park and I have to say, I now have a new favorite spot! (well, with the exception of those water snakes we had to dodge – eek!) Some places are just so beautiful, it’s worth the risk 😉

I also love photographing dancers, and have a special love for Pointe – I still can’t imagine the strength and training (and pain!) must go into being able to do that!

After graduation, Meaghan plans on attending Umass and majoring in Communication Disorders.

2017 Senior Sam

I cannot believe this handsome cousin of mine is all grown and graduating high school! Just two years ago I shot his sister’s senior portraits up in West Groton, MA, and to date it is one of my favorite locations I’ve ever shot! I was so excited to get the opportunity to shoot around the grounds of Rivercourt Residences again.

And of course we had to get some with Sam’s one of his favorite possessions – his motorcycle!

Holiday Mini Sessions

This year, my mini sessions took place at Heritage Park in Upton, MA. Although it was a battle against the cold and wind for this one, these girls were not even phased and we ended up with some beautiful images of some equally beautiful girls.

Ashley & Tom Engagement

This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting some engagement photos for Ashley and Tom at the Hopedale Pond and Parklands in Hopedale, MA. There was still plenty of Fall foliage lingering for November, which provided the perfectly quintessential New England backdrop for our session. Ashley told me about all the unique, custom details she has been working on for her wedding, including a custom card box her and her dad were making together (p.s. if you haven’t seen the work by Old New England Restoration, owned by Ashley’s dad, you should check them out – BEAUTIFUL!).

Ashley and Tom are getting married next June at the beautiful Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA. I am very disappointed that I had to turn down photographing their wedding there, however, it is my daughter’s birthday that weekend and as beautiful as that location is, my pookie comes first <3

I wish you two a perfect wedding day, and a wonderful, long and happy marriage!

Cataldo Family

Shortly after my photo shoot with the DeMauro family, I had the pleasure of shooting the family of Dan’s sister, Emily. I met up with her and her husband Will and their three boys at Riverbend Farm. What a fun shoot! Her boys are just so silly and adorable, and their oldest was such a good big brother.

Shortly after their photo shoot, I learned that Emily and Will were expecting yet another little boy to add to their family! We just might have to update this photo next year 😉
